Crafting a platform for Canberra's makers and designers.
Arts and Design
Working with Craft ACT, Nerio developed a media campaign which supported the emerging designers. We conceptualised, produced and directed product and profile photography which was rolled out through a social media and PR campaign, as well as developing and managing brand collateral and media relationships.
Passionate about bringing an audience to the makers and creators of Canberra, Craft ACT invited a group of seven emerging Canberra designers including Andrew Carvolth, Chelsea Lemon, Christina Bricknell, Elliot Bastianon, René Linssen, Kate Nixon and Richilde Flavell to exhibit at the Denfair Front/Centre exhibition in Melbourne, Australia.
This group of emerging creatives bring a fresh voice to the Canberra design scene. Collectively and individually, these designers push the boundaries through exploration, innovation and considered approaches in an application.
Each maker presented a piece within the Denfair Front/Centre exhibition, ranging from ceramic tiles, pendant lighting, stools and furniture pieces. Exhibiting in this showcase gave the designers an opportunity to present their work before an influential audience of design professionals, suppliers and retailers.
The Denfair exhibition offered an opportunity to provide an insight into the talent pool of makers that are working, living and creating in The Nation’s Capital. There was an opportunity to showcase the passion, dedication and quality craftsmanship hailing from Canberra, and it was important to leverage this opportunity by ensuring it met a wider audience than just the design community.
